The PSPA’s 45th CME Conference will be held virtually, October 21-24, 2020, to follow the social distancing guidelines in effect due to COVID. The PSPA wants to provide the same high-quality CME sessions via live-stream or on demand. Attendees will have access to 26 hours of CME from the medical general sessions. The live-stream sessions will be offered on-demand after the conference so you can review a session or catch up on the sessions you may have missed due to a change in your schedule. On-demand sessions will be available until June 1, 2021.
We have a great line-up of speakers who will provide 26 hours of CME sessions, and we’re exploring the possible availability of our two-hour workshops, including medical Spanish, acid/base disorders and child abuse. The schedule of events and speakers can be found here. There will also be many networking opportunities between the virtual attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors.
The PSPA is looking forward to seeing you virtually so we can come together to obtain CME, learn about new products and services, and celebrate the “hero” in each of you.
CME ACCREDITATION FOR PHYSICIAN ASSISTANTS
This activity has been reviewed by the AAPA Review Panel and is compliant with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 42 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Approval is valid from 10/19/2020 to 6/1/2021. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation. AAPA reference number: CME-201008.
The CME Certificates will be issued for attended sessions.
The NCCPA and the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants have worked together to reduce the time and effort associated with logging your conference hours for our Fall CME Conference. NCCPA has designed a special system whereby PAs can click on a unique link in their online NCCPA personal certification record at www.nccpa.net and select the sessions they attended from a master list of sessions that PSPA supplied to NCCPA. The PA can automatically apply those sessions wherever they need them, as long as the hours are earned in the correct logging window. Logging will be available starting November 1, 2020.
SELF-PRINTING OF LECTURES
PSPA receives the preliminary lecture slides or outlines from our speakers prior to the conference. The material that we receive will be online for conference registrants by October 13, 2020. Please keep in mind that the speakers may make last minute changes to their presentations that would not be in the pre-conference postings. To access the slides, go to the website at www.pspa.net. Click on Events & CME, Annual Conference, Posting of Conference Lectures which is the last menu option under Annual Conference. A login screen will open if you are not already logged in. If you are a member, enter your email address in the first box as your login ID and enter your case-sensitive password in the second box. If you are not a member, please refer to your registration confirmation email for a login ID and password to view the lectures. Click Login and a detailed conference schedule should open. Click on the underlined lecture topics to open the slides.
PSPA will post the final slides for self-printing beginning November 1, 2020. The slides will be available on the website until December 1, 2020, for non-members.
Recorded webinars will be available until June 1, 2021.
Exhibitors and sponsors will have a virtual exhibit booth. The conference app will allow virtual attendees to research their products, download materials, and schedule an appointment with a one-to-one Zoom.call. Exhibitor and sponsor information will be available prior to and after the conference through the conference app.
