THURSDAY NIGHT

20th ANNUAL PAC SILENT AUCTION AND RECEPTION
The Silent Auction will be held on October 24, 2019 at 7 PM in conjunction with the PSPA Annual Conference. There will be dancing – put on your dancing shoes! This event gives us a chance to catch up with friends and colleagues. Beautiful donated items will be on display for you to bid on. There is something for everyone!

Our Silent Auction benefits the Pennsylvania Physician Assistant Political Action Committee. Would you like to donate an item for the auction? Contact Cara Bennett at carakbennett@gmail.com or Marcy Herzog at marcyherzog@gmail.com. Click here for more information.

STUDENT MEDICAL CHALLENGE BOWL
One tradition of the PSPA Conference is the excitement of the Student Challenge Bowl. Competition between the PA schools spills over to the audience. Gather four of your fellow students, make a team and encourage your friends, family and faculty to come cheer you on. Registered teams must participate in the Host City Charity Contest. Contact Natalie Schwer to register your team at nschwerpac@gmail.com or print the registration form and fax to 724-836-4449. Click here for more information.

Attention ALL Students:  Admission tickets for parents will be given to Challenge Bowl participants by their program directors. Parents attending only the Challenge Bowl should not be registered online as guests or they will be charged the guest fee of $15. These complimentary tickets are non-transferable.

POSTER PRESENTATION – IN THE EXHIBIT HALL
We would like to invite practicing PAs, students, and PA Faculty to participate in a poster presentation. All submissions must include a PSPA membership number. Participants must be available to answer questions regarding their work during specific exhibit hall hours. If you are interested, submit an abstract of 500 words or less to Mary Allias MPAS, PA-C at mallias1@pitt.edu by August 1, 2019. For more information on Poster Submission Guidelines click here.

18TH ANNUAL PSPA FUN RUN AND WALK
Get moving and have some fun! This year’s fun run will be held Friday morning. Runners and walkers will meet by the staircase at the entrance to the convention center at 7:00 am. The first 25 participants to register will receive a commemorative t-shirt. The entry fee is $15. Use the conference registration form to hold your spot.

LEADERSHIP FORUM
New this year at PSPA, the Leadership Forum is an opportunity for Pennsylvania’s PA leaders and aspiring leaders to gather and share ideas.  If you’d like to learn more about leadership opportunities or network with leaders, then be sure to attend this year’s Leadership Forum on Wednesday from 1:45 – 4:30 pm. The Leadership Forum is open to all attendees.

STUDENT FORUM
If you are currently a PA student, you do not want to miss this event! With separate tracks for first year and second year students (we know you have different needs!), everyone can gain valuable information for their future in the PA profession. These sessions will give participants a chance to learn from some of the best practicing PAs and “pick their brains” on a variety of topics. Whether you’re preparing to go out on rotations or preparing to take your boards and practice “real medicine,” there’s something for everyone!

FACULTY FORUM
The Faculty Forum is an opportunity for Pennsylvania’s PA faculty to gather and share ideas.
